Ssi Training

This world-renowned certification program is the best way to start a long life of adventure as a certified diver. Customized training is combined with practical in-water sessions to gain the skills and experience needed to be truly confident underwater. At the end of this programmed, you will be certified as an Open Water Diver SSI.
Learning to dive is much easier than you think and the best way to try this new activity is with the Try Scuba SSI program. Just visit a SSI CORAIL PLONGEE dive center, register and download the MySSI application on your mobile. And on top of that, the teaching aids are FREE! The digital teaching aids will help you to prepare for this first experience in scuba diving.

Speciality program

Specialty programs are designed to train you in the areas that interest you. Following your Open Water Diver certification and depending on your interests, you can choose from a wide range of specialties to continue your diving career. The specialties consist of a digital training kit and 1 to 4 dives depending on the program. At the end of each specialty you will take a theory exam (MCQ) and obtain a digital certification card.
After obtaining 2 full specialties and 12 logged dives in your online logbook you automatically get the certification card Speciality Diver. Then when you accumulate 4 full specialties and 24 logged dives you will automatically obtain the certification card Advanced Open Water Diver. Thanks to the specialty programs, you will progress in the areas you wish to improve.

SSI Specialties

The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. You will be in protected water and well supervised by your instructor, so that you can enjoy those unforgettable first breaths underwater and experience the magic of scuba diving. By the end of this short course, you will have obtained your SSI Try Scuba Recognition Card and will no doubt want to dive again. Deep Diving

Are you ready to become a deep diver and explore deeper wrecks, coral encrusted walls, reefs and more? Many exciting dive sites are found in deep water and the Deep Diving SSI specialty will teach you how to get there – safely and with confidence. You will learn to plan and conduct dives to depths between 18 and 40 meters and earn your Deep Diving SSI specialty certification.

Training information and standards

The Deep Diving SSI specialty will teach you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, thanks to a mix of theory sessions and dives in a natural environment. You will learn how to safely plan and conduct your deep diving adventures and how to use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion of this course, you will earn your Deep Diving SSI specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites anywhere you want. This SSI specialty is also a prerequisite for certain additional training, which makes it the next logical step in your diver training.

Enriched AIR NITROX level 2

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your dive times and safety margins, and shorten your surface intervals – so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge while learning to plan and dive safely with enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion of this program, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

Stress & Rescue

Diver stress is a major cause of diving accidents, but it can easily be prevented and remedied. Join the Diver Stress and Rescue SSI Specialty Program and learn how to help yourself and other divers stay safe. Get this essential specialty certification today!

Orientation

This program provides the skills and knowledge necessary to safely and comfortably orient yourself underwater during a dive. You will learn how to use a compass and natural orientation techniques, how to estimate distance, basic orientation procedures, and how to get to and from a target. Upon completion of this program, you will be certified as an SSI Navigation Specialist.
